Many remediation companies lack in building experience and leave the remediation project with only the surface of the mold remediation completed. JP Improvements starts out the remediation by what we call, “Elimination of causes” which consist of eliminating the reason or reasons why the mold is there to begin with.

Mold spores are present in all environments and are found on and within many new building materials. Mold can begin to grow rapidly and exponentially in any building and at any time if indoor humidity levels or moisture incursions are not controlled. When excessive moisture accumulates in buildings or on building materials, mold growth will often occur, particularly if the moisture problem remains undiscovered or unaddressed. It is impossible to eliminate all mold and mold spores in the indoor environment. However, mold growth can be controlled indoors by controlling indoor humidity levels.

There are many issues that can cause high moisture problems. Remediation can be as simple as surface mold removal or may involve major removal of contaminated materials.
